CORD co-principal Kalonzo is expected back in the country today from Malaysia, where he has been forced to cut short his trip to attend tomorrow’s graduation ceremony at the University of Nairobi where he will be conferred with a Masters of Law Degree. President Uhuru Kenyatta is scheduled to grace the occasion where deputy president William Ruto is also expected to obtain a PhD.
Mr Musyoka jetted out of the country on Monday evening to Kuala Lumpur with other Wiper Party members to attend the 66th United Malays National Organization Conference (UMNO), 2016 Annual General Assembly. UMNO is Malaysia’s largest political party and it is a founding member of the Barisan National Coalition which, with its predecessor the Alliance, have dominated Malaysian politics since independence. Each of Malaysia’s six Prime Ministers has been an UMNO member.
Mr Musyoka is accompanied in the trip by Wiper Deputy Party Leader Shakilah Mohamed, Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe and Party Executive Director Dr Jared Siso, among others. The Wiper leader had been invited by UMNO Party leadership and while there he addressed the Assembly delegates and met other global leaders on the sidelines of the conference where he enhanced and broadened his party’s international linkages.
“Wiper Party leader addressed the invited assembly delegates and met other global leaders on the sidelines of the meeting to enhance and broaden our International linkages as he prepares to roll out our the New Dream Vision…..Wiper all the way”, said Dr Siso in a Facebook posting from Malaysia.
Mr Musyoka while in Malaysia also held talks with the Managing Director Emergency Action Force of Malaysia, Ms M. Marietta.
