Films Board in ambitious plan to set up a Creative Centre of Excellence

According to KFCB Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua, the Centre will be a one stop-shop for the creative industry in Kenya and will provide subsidized services and facilities for the creative arts industry, including training on entrepreneurship, mentorship, production and classification.

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has announced an ambitious plan to establish a state-of-the-art Creative Centre of Excellence in Nairobi. According to KFCB Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua, the Centre will be a one stop-shop for the creative industry in Kenya and will provide subsidized services and facilities for the creative arts industry, including training on entrepreneurship, mentorship, production and classification.

Mr Mutua in a posting on his Facebook page said the Centre will have world class production, editing, classification and post-production suites. “The Kenya Film Classification Board plans to establish a state-of-the-art Creative Centre of Excellence in Nairobi. The first of its kind, and modeled along the theme of strings and curves of our music and cultural instruments, the centre will be a one stop- shop for the creative industry in Kenya and will provide subsidised services and facilities for the creative arts industry, including training on entrepreneurship, mentorship, production and classification”, he said.

The CEO also posted a variety of photos showing the look of the new Centre and added “With this artistic expression the journey towards the realisation of the dream begins. ORDER OUR STEPS OH LORD!”
