UK's Anglican Church deeply worried about Kenya, Archbishop Welby tells Raila

NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga who arrived in London this morning and held his first meeting with Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury and the principal leader of the Anglican Church. They met at the Heathrow Windsor Suite at Heathrow Airport.

"Spiritual guidance is of utmost importance at this juncture in our nation's history. I valued greatly the wise counsel that Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury and the principal leader of the Anglican Church, imparted when I paid a courtesy call on him this morning," Raila wrote in his Facebook page.

A source accompanying Raila on the London trip informed this website that the archbishop said he was "genuinely worried" about the trend of things in Kenya and wished Kenya success in dealing with the crisis.

Raila is expected to meet senior British officials including the minister for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and an all-party group of MPs and later in the day address an audience at the Chatham House, a think tank on international affairs.
