President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to take the nurses strike with urgency because many people are dying. Kangundo parliamentary aspirant and lawyer, Fabian Muli, has called on the President to intervene and resolve the strike which is in its 11th day.

He said that the Cabinet Secretary for health Dr Cleopa Mailu has failed to resolve the strike urging the president to take over the matter. "I am appealing to president Uhuru to take over the nurses' strike with the urgency it deserves because we are losing lives and the Cabinet Secretary for health seems not to care," said Mr. Muli.

Muli further called on Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to move faster and clear the register of dead voters saying that Machakos County has over seventy thousand dead voters.
