Police launch man-hunt for Narok man who shot his friend in bar brawl

Police in Narok town have launched a man-hunt for a man who allegedly shot and wounded his friend after a brawl in an entertainment joint on Wednesday night.

According to information recorded by Narok police, the shooter, Alex Ntutu, who is a licensed gun-holder, was reveling with his friend Joseph Njoroge at a bar in the town when they differed in their discussion and had nasty a exchange.

The management of the club, seeing that the two were causing a commotion, threw them out of the club and they continued their differences outside. Mr Ntutu shot Mr Njoroge on the chest and left him fighting for his life with serious injuries.

Witnesses reported hearing of three gun shots, but only one hit Mr Njoroge, on the chest. The assailant fled the scene immediately after firing the shots.

Other revelers who rushed to the scene upon hearing the shots found Mr Njoroge lying on the ground and writhing in pain. They took him to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

The local police boss has appealed to anyone with information which can lead to the arrest of the suspect to inform the nearest police station.
