The move follows the advertisement of their jobs at the expiry of their contracts to allow the governor Kaluki Ngilu to appoint their successors.
Letters to the 11 chief officers were delivered yesterday requiring them to vacate their offices with immediate effect. This comes also within days of the swearing in of 8 ministers appointed by Mrs Ngilu. It is understood that the decision is aimed at allowing the ministers room to settle without unnecessary interference from the chief officers appointed by former governor Dr Julius Malombe.

The Acting County Secretary Mr Alex Kimanzi, whose job has been advertised along with those of the chief officers was not affected by yesterday’s administrative action.
