Kangundo MP Katatha Maweu received cold reception as he tried to address residents of Kakuyuni market in Kangundo during a NASA rally.
Mr Maweu was received with pro-Fabian chants, whom is his fiercest opponent for the Kangundo parliamentary seat forcing him to cut short his speech. The incumbent Maweu is vying on a Wiper party ticket while Lawyer Fabian Muli is vying on a Muungano party ticket both under the NASA coalition. Lawyer Fabian Muli was forced to stand and calm the crowd so that the incumbent can address the impatient crowds.
Mr Maweu outlined that he has a lot for the people of Kangundo and failing to re-elect him would be so unfair.
"My people of Kangundo, I have done a lot for you and it would be unfair if you do not give me another term to serve you," said Mr Maweu.
Mr Muli on his side called on the people to elect him so that he brings change to Kangundo constituency which has been dragging behind in development. He also drummed up support for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga saying he is the right person to drive Kenya to the right direction.
"People of Kangundo, I am appealing to you to come out in large numbers so that we vote for Raila Odinga because he is the right man to Kenya into right direction, and also remember to vote for me so that we bring change to Kangundo," said Mr Muli.
