Matungulu MP Stephen Mule

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has expressed concerns over the stalled project of tarmacking of the Tala-Donyo Sabuk road which was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta in June 2016. Mr Mule said that he is afraid that the road may not be completed as the contractor and his workers have been on strike for over 3 months as they have not paid.

He called on the government to pay the contractor so that they can continue with the work so that the project can be completed in the estimated time.

"I am calling upon the government to pay the contractor working at the Tala-Donyo Sabuk road with immediate effect so that they can complete their work, the workers have been on strike for over 3 months now and I am afraid  that the project may take longer to be completed," said Mr Mule.

He went on to express fears that some parts of equipments are being vandalised while others are are wearing off. The project has stalled at Kisukioni market. Mr Mule went on to say it is the constitutional right of the people of Matungulu because they are also taxpayers.
