An aspiring Member of Parliament for the Matungulu constituency has hit out at Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for saying people should vote for Wiper candidates only. Ms Ndawa who is vying on a New Democrats party ticket which is under NASA coalition said the Wiper party leader calls are not democratic because people should be allowed to vote whom they want.

She added that there are parties under the NASA coalition which also have people with leadership qualities and urged Kalonzo to stop imposing leaders on people.

"I was amused on Tuesday to hear Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka saying that people should vote for Wiper candidates only, that is not fair and I want to tell him to stop imposing leaders on people, he should let democracy to prevail," said Ms Ndawa.

Ms Ndawa said that Kalonzo should support all candidates vying on parties under NASA because they have a common goal of campaigning for Raila and Kalonzo.

"Mr Kalonzo should support all candidates vying on other parties under NASA because we all have a common goal of campaigning for Mr Odinga," she added.

She further hit out at the national government for failing to resolve the nurse's strike saying that those who can not afford medical services at private hospitals are suffering. Mr Kalonzo has stood ground to campaign for a six piece of Wiper candidates saying that he needs to be the next Deputy President with a big number of Party MCAs, Members of Parliament, Women Representatives, Senators and Governors.

He is also however facing protests from candidates allied to parties affiliated to the NASA coalition as well as those contesting as Independents initially in Wiper among them Kitui Senator contesting for Kitui Gubernatorial post, Machakos Women Representative Dr Susan Musyoka who is defending her seat as an Independent and Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Muia Kiala fighting for governor's seat as an Independent candidate.
