Kangundo residents urged to vote wisely for sake of development

Kangundo residents have been urged to vote wisely if they want to bring change and development in the constituency. Speaking at the Kangundo Aspirants Debate Forum which brought together all MP and MCA candidates at the ABC Kalimani Church,CEO of the I Choose Life Africa Mr Mike Mutungi advised the residents to vote wisely and listen to all aspirants but vote for the one who will bring development.

Mr Mutungi challenged the aspirants to ensure they deliver on their pledges once elected he also pointed out that on November 10, there will be another forum to discuss the progress of the leaders and hold them accountable where they have not delivered.

"I want to say that today we had a debate forum for candidates both MCA and MP and the message to the residents of Kangundo to vote wisely and observe peace and they should listen to all leaders but vote wisely and on November there shall be another forum to monitor the progress of the elected leaders and to also hold them accountable," said Mr Mutungi.

Dr. Yvonne Katambo the Chairperson of the Machakos Selection Committee lamented over the low turn out of the candidates saying that politicians should respond positively when called upon by residents.

"The Forum was a success, we are impressed by the good turn out by residents but the candidates let us down because they did not all show up," said Ms. Katambo. She further called on all candidates to attend such forums in the future because they are the best platform for them to highlight their manifestos.
