Kangundo MP Katatha Maweu has dismissed reports that he is not  defending his seat on August 8 elections. The MP has urged his supporters to ignore words doing around saying that he is not in the race saying that those are malicious ways for his opponents to gain ground.

"I want to say that I am still in the race and those saying I am not in the race are just seeking  political mileage using my name," said Maweu.

He added that he has not been sick or hospitalized as some people have been claiming saying that he is in sound health. Maweu further urged the people of Kangundo to reelect him so that he can finish the projects he had started during the 11th Parliament which ended yesterday after the house adjourned.
