Matungulu MP cleared by IEBC after High Court dismissed legal challenge

Matungulu Member of Parliament Stephen Mutinda Mule has been cleared by IEBC to defend his seat on a Wiper ticket on Thursday morning. 

Mr Mule, who was facing a court battle from his rival for the Wiper party ticket Peter Makau because he was issued a direct nomination for the ticket, was handed the ticket after the High Court referred the case back to the party to decide whom to issue the ticket to. 

While addressing journalists after his clearance, Mr Mule expressed confidence that he was in the ballot box and urged people to support him so that he completes his projects which he started.

He added that there is need for politicians to campaign peacefully and creating a friendly atmosphere for others adding politics of division are forgone. Mr Mule will be battling to defend his seat with six other aspirants for the Matungulu parliamentary seat.
