Machakos women representative aspirant Jane Cosmos Ndeti, who is vying on a Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) ticket, has dismissed reports going round the region that she will be the running mate for Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua. This morning, some messages emerged in social media platforms saying that she will Dr Mutua's running mate.

While addressing leaders drawn from Kangundo and Matungulu constituencies, the aspirant urged them to ignore the rumours saying that her opponents were seeking to bring her down "through propaganda" but she would not bow to such pressure. She insisted that she is firmly in the women's rep seat and urged her supporters to ignore those rumours.

She further called out on leaders to campaign peacefully without spreading propaganda on other leaders something which can trigger violence.
