The battle for Kangundo parliamentary seat has just intensified after the entrance of Dr Ancent Kituku as an independent candidate seeking to oust the incumbent Kyengo Katatha Maweu. Dr Kituku was unable to clinch Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party ticket during the primaries against Titus Matiku, alleging unfairness and voter buying.

“Whatever happened during the primaries is now past tense, what we are focusing on is the general elections,” said Dr Kituku, whose political manifesto dubbed “WEALTHY” promises to ensure he delivers services to the people of Kangundo in Water and Education, Agriculture, ensure right Leadership and integrity, improve on trade and Investment, good Heath, Youth and Vulnerable groups empowerment.

Dr Kituku has been on the frontline in the promotion of youth talent in terms of football and other games, by organizing tournaments all over the sub county, ensuring such teams have uniforms and balls as well as sponsoring athletes to participate in nationwide competitions. “I believe the young people are the future of this nation and that is why I want to ensure the youths can stand on their feet not to rely on people for unsustainable handouts from leaders,” he said.

Dr Kituku will be battling it out with former banker alias ‘Mama Maji’ Rose Wambua of the Jubilee Party, Mr Matiku of MCC, lawyer Fabian Muli who is yet to unveil his party, and the incumbent on a Wiper ticket.
