County governments have been urged to emulate the good national government projects being carried out in their counties, especially those dealing with infrastructure and development. The Principal Secretary for housing and urban development, Aidah Munano, said the national government projects ought to be emulated by the county officials to bring development to the people.

Speaking during an inspection tour of various roads and housing projects in Machakos County, Munano said this would enjoy the benefits of their taxes which are brought by quality infrastructural projects. “Everyone should take advantage of the ongoing projects to enhance their economic endeavors,” she said.

She also said massive changes will be experienced once the county governments put in quality checks in the various projects. "The government is committed to ensuring every Kenyan gets access to basic infrastructure to improve the quality of life and we want all Kenyans to take advantage of these projects to better their lives,” Ms Munano said.

The PS, flanked by urban and metropolitan development secretary, Enosh Onyango, toured Koma-Kenol, Kenol-Kangundo, Kenol- Machakos-Katumani, and Katumani-Mombasa roads which are under World Bank funding.
