NASA leaders today morning held a meeting to strategize on the campaign for the Presidential poll due October 17th. Led by former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and outgoing Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, the team came up with several steps to ensure the votes of NASA’s flag bearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka are not manipulated in any way.
Those steps included laying out strategies to protect votes which Muthama decline to share with anybody. He disclosed that members elected through NASA affiliate parties would co-ordinate the campaigns in their areas and emphasized that Mr Odinga must garner over 1.2 Million votes from Nairobi in the upcoming polls.
“Kenyans want justice, Nairobians want justice and we can only have peace if we have justice and what the Supreme Court did by delivering justice will ensure that we have peace in Kenya” stated Evans Kidero. Mr Muthama dismissed any perception that NASA did not have agents saying “we had agents but we’re chased away and locked out of the polling stations”
He also cautioned the President against calling the Chief Justice David Maraga “mkora” stating that “it’s the same Uhuru who is a beneficiary of the judicial system all over the world but now because the court isn’t favoring him he is criticizing them.” He added the same strategies will be replicated all over the country.
