Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua addressing people of Kangundo during a campaign trail at the subcounty.

Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has promised to build five industries in every ward with the county so as to end unemployment among the youth. Dr Mutua who was speaking during his campaign trails in Kangundo said that he has a good plan for the youths of Machakos County once reelected.

"I have a good plan for our youths, I have in mind plans to set up five industries in every ward within our county so that our youths can get jobs so that they do not indulge themselves with drugs," said Dr Mutua.

He went on to hit out at his opponent Wavinya Ndeti (Wiper)saying that she has no manifesto for the people of Machakos noting that her manifesto does not highlight the needs of the residents.

"You have heard the manifesto of my opponent, and clearly you can hear that she has no agenda for the people of Machakos, hers consists of ten points while mine has over forty five points, clearly you see she has no agenda," he added.

Dr Mutua further appealed to the residents to reelect him saying that his track record is far much better than any other governor in the country hence making him the best performing governor.

"I am pleading with you my people, you have seen the work have done, I have build more roads, dug boreholes than any other governor in the country, so I am urging you to reelect me so that I can complete the transformation of Machakos County," added Dr Mutua.
