NARC-Kenya Martha Karua has hit out at NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga accusing him of allegedly inciting the Maasai community to expel outsiders from their land. Despite, Raila denying inciting any community against the other, Jubilee leaders have continued pilling pressure on him with some even calling for his arrest. Karua now accuses Raila of being hypocritical on the land issue.

The Kirinyanga gubernatorial candidate who is supporting re-election of President Kenyatta said that in 2012 the Former Prime Minister and the then Minister for Lands James Orengo had gone to Kajiado where the land issue was discussed. She said that Mr. Raila handed over the matter to Mr. Orengo who conclude that it was a weekend and so the farmers should bring the title deeds to his office but did not take action. Narc- Kenya leader defended Jubilee saying it should not be blamed since Raila never used his power when he was prime minister to solve the land issue.

NASA Leaders Musalia Mudavadi, and Orengo speaking in Naivasha yesterday hit out at Jubilee leaders of failing to address the land injustices meted on some communities. Mr Orengo, the Siaya Senator brought a new dimension on the matter when he said parcels of land was allegedly grabbed by Presidents Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi cautioning President Kenyatta against supporting the call on Raila to be arrested over the Kajiado statement.

Elsewhere Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo has asked NASA leaders to file a defamatory case against Deputy President William Ruto for the statement he made about Mr. Raila seen as inciting the Maasai people in Kajiado to drive away outsiders from Kajiado County.
Mr Raila has stood his ground in defense of the statement he made in Kajiado and instead accused Jubilee of failing to act on land protection for Kajiado County residents.

However Jubilee leaders from Kajiado County who included Kajiado gubernatorial aspirant Joseph Ole Lenku, Nairobi county Assembly Speaker Alex Ole Magelo, Former Kajiado Central MP David Sankori, Kajiado County Assembly Deputy Speaker George Sunkuyia, Kajiado Jubilee Senatorial candidate Philip Mpaayei and some of MCA candidates have asked NASA leader to keep off their land matters.

Mr Ole Magelo noted that while in his Iloodokiliani visit, Odinga recognized mismanagement of Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) as the cause of poverty in the county yet he received Former Head of KMC, Taraiya Ole Kores into NASA party after he lost to Mr. Lenku during the nominations for governor’s seat. On his part Sunkuyia said that one of the ODM leader’s relative, a non-Maasai had bought land in Kajiado which he claimed is an act of hypocrisy.
