Striking doctors have started feeling the pinch of not being paid for work not done with Mombasa among the six counties that have declined to release doctors December salaries. According to Dr Ouma Oluga, the medics' trade union official, Bomet, Siaya, Kwale, Nakuru and Nairobi have also withheld salaries. The unionist first warned about the withholding of the funds at a press conference in Mombasa on New Year's Eve.
