Presidential candidate Mohamed Abduba Dida aka 'Mwalimu' who is the leader of Alliance for Real Change party today marked the start of his campaigns with a wide-ranging interview on Citizen Radio. Dida, who vied for the seat during the last general election, but he emerged the fourth among the contesters.

The candidate has named Professor George Wajackoyah as his running mate under the Tunza Coalition. Dida said he has seen the suffering the Kenyan people are undergoing due to destabilized economy and he is willing to save them. Dida said that his first priority will be to improve education system in Kenya, eliminate corruption and balance salaries of workers.

He added that this nation needs a leader who is God-fearing and respects the religion of each other. He also promised to fight terrorism but said Kenyans must understand the root causes of terrorism, which is based on extremism and should be distinguished from rebellion. Elaborating on the difference between the two, he said that rebellion can emerge when rights of some individuals have been violated and nobody is willing to listen to them.

On the other hand, he said terrorism can be as a result of individuals who are just arrogant and willing to do against what is right. Dida said that the rebellion can be stopped if the rights of all people is respected. “Even when you decide to dictate your children at home without listening to them they can decide to rebel,” said Dida.
