Starehe MP Maina Kamanda is leading a group of Jubilee youths in a procession through the Nairobi central business district to protest the torching of two matatu vans by alleged CORD supporters on Monday.
Being driven as part of the procession of the nearly 1,000 youths is a long trailer carrying the wreckage of two matatu vans that were torched during the anti-IEBC protests.
The group’s destination is Raila Odinga’s office at Capital Hill, but Kamanda said their first stop would be Parliament, where they want to drop a petition seeking compensation for the burnt vehicles.
“I am leading a thousand people to Parliament to drop a petition and then proceed to drop the burnt vehicles at Raila’s office,”said Kamanda told reporters.
