Almost every woman wants to loose weight these days, so many women have spent lots of money finding ways to loose weight. Some of these women want to shed some pounds not because they are fat but because they have self-esteem issues. Some link their image with the perception of what men want.
I wonder why women are so bothered by what people think of them or rather what men think of them. At the end of the day, what should matter is how you feel about yourself. Almost every woman is googling on ways to loose weigh, we have so many groups giving tips on how to loose weight but some women over do it and they end up being sick or even dead because of excess weight loss. Some women will even starve themselves not knowing being underweight is also a risk.
Loosing weight should not be taken as a joke or for fun or fashion, we should know the importance of loosing weight. There are genuine or reasonable reasons why women ought to loose weight. Being overweight comes with so many challenges and disadvantages especially to women.
Some of the risks that women may face because of weight are: high blood pressure, complications during their pregnancy, stroke, cancer etc. As a woman, I feel every woman should be cautious when it comes to their weight. We should check what we are eating because at times our weight is reflected by what we eat. Some people add weight because they are under medication which maybe the side effects.
Being under weight is also a disadvantage because people maybe at risk, there are health issues that result to being underweight. Some of these risks are: Anemia; lack of blood maybe as a result of being underweight, Weakened immune system ;the body may not be in a position to fight disease in the body because the immune system is weak, fragile bones, fertility issues. etc. There are healthy ways one can use to gain weight instead of eating so much food or junk food because people think eating junk and huge portion of food will make one add weight which at times it works which is not healthy.
Loosing weight is not a bad thing but some women don’t know the essence of loosing weight, some want to loose weight because of their wrong perception of themselves. Why would someone want to loose weight because her friends are thin and you want to fit in yet you are not overweight? Some think that being thin is a fashion which is stupid.
I am not against women wanting to loose weight, what I am against is the way some women over do it and the ways they use to loose weight. Basically, women should find healthy ways in keeping themselves healthy without straining themselves.
